You walk back into the Pub after coming out of the ice caverns. The dragon from earlier escaped, but no matter. You were charged with saving the Werz Soldiers and that’s exactly what you did. You motion for the bartender to serve you a round, one that was, to your surprise, already paid for. The excess coin that the Werz Soldier used earlier is enough to cover your first round of drinks. He brings you your mead and sits it down in front of you before walking back to behind the bar to leave you with your companions.
You take your first sip of the amber liquid, enjoying it as it coats your throat on the way down. The sweet, yet stout beverage makes you feel alive and is the perfect reward after your conquests. However, your drink is cut short as the door to the pub slams open and the same soldier from earlier emerges. A sense of panic and dread come over you as you just started to consume your drink and he’s already appearing as if he’s looking for more adventurers. You lock eyes with him and he smiles before walking over to your table. You grip your drink firmly so that he can’t down the remaining contents.
He looks at the table and into your eyes before smiling. “They went back into that cavern, adventurers, but I’m afraid it’s far worse this time,” he says with somber eyes. He motions for the bartender, who brings him a glass that is similar to yours and sits down beside you at the table. “While inside, they delved further into the cavern to see what the dragon was protecting. They found a massive temple that is in the open air that we have never seen before. Once there, my comrades were lost and I have no idea if they are alive or not.”
The soldier pauses briefly while sipping from his small drink. “Adventurers, I hate to ask another task of you, but I was hoping you would venture back into the caverns and find that temple and see if they are still alive.”
The rewards in the Ice Cavern were fairly great, so venturing further into the temple may prove beneficial. You down your drink and nod before walking out of the pub and back to the Peroney Mountains.
