The Ice Cavern

You walk into the Peroney Ice Cavern and take note of the light blue hues along the walls and the firm ground. Water trickled down to the tips of frozen stalactites while the sound of a trickling stream could be heard in the distance. The ground below you is solid, but crunching beneath the bottoms of your shoes with every soft step, forcing you to move as stealthy as possible. As you walk through slowly, you hear the sounds of several loud men chanting in the distance.

 

You continue to walk through the cave, hearing the chanting while moving slowly along the icy path. You turn the corner and find a small, open room with two trolls with light blue skin and pelts covering their skin standing around a small fire. The pelts are stark white with patches of red, possibly from blood, while the cloths covering the rest of their body were constructed of sewn together canvas. As you turn the corner and walk forward into the room, the three trolls pull out large spears from behind their backs and turn toward you. The duo of trolls kneel down with their spears drawn, preparing to leap toward you and skewer you into the icy walls.

 

Commence Battle Ice Troll x 2

 

The two trolls fall to their knees with blood pouring from their fresh wounds. Within seconds, the light fades from their stark white eyes and the rudimentary made spears fall into the ice. You walk up to the bodies and look over them, hoping to find something of value, but nothing is there. The white pelts are far too tattered to be useful and the canvas clothing isn’t suitable for your body. The spears are made of wood with a rock tip, and aren’t good enough to take. You feel that the spear would snap upon the first use.

 

You move forward through the cave, still hearing the chanting echoing off of the wall. You walk into a narrow hallway, stepping on the crunchy ground as you move toward the sounds ahead of you. The hallway is short and you eventually come into a room full of large bones scattered about the ground. Red hues are stained on the white, icy walls that lead toward another hallway at the end of the room.

 

You walk into the large room and step on one of the large bones, cracking it in two with your full weight on the center. You gasp as a loud grunt erupts from the side of the room. To your right, you see a large, white beast lurch toward you. With his mouth open, revealing a large set of sharp teeth, the large Yeti lumbers toward you on his large feet, snarling with every step. You pull out your weapon, looking ahead as the Yeti comes at you.

 

Commence Battle with Yeti

 

The Yeti falls to the ground with blood pouring from his neck and torso. The ground beneath you, underneath the Yeti, is now stained with dark red blood. You look down and hover of his dying body as his body goes limp, vanquished by your might and skill. You look around the room, trying to see if any other creatures are going to move toward you and impede your progress. The room is vacant, though you still hear the chanting coming from further down the cave.

 

You walk through the small opening in the wall at the far end of the room toward the loud to find a frozen chasm connecting to larger areas. You walk through slowly, barely able to make it through,. Eventually, you enter a clearing in between the icy walls. You look up to find an opening the cave, seeing the clear blue sky over the cave. Small birds fly over the opening as the sun hits the icy walls and reflects off of it, illuminating the path in front of you.

 

The path is still treacherous, but you continue moving through the chasm and into another small clearing. You look forward to see a human body skewed to the frozen wall. You pause briefly to look at the clothing, noticing that this was one of the soldiers from Werz that you were sent into find. Ahead of you, in another corridor, you hear the scuffling of footsteps. You step away from the body as three trolls, clad in the same regalia as the two from earlier,  patrolling the area. They notice you and reach from their spears before charging toward you.

 

Commence Battle with Ice Troll x 3

 

The three trolls fall to the ground with their corpses mangled and blood pouring from their wounds. Their corpses fall near each other and stack on one another while you look on at the carnage. You step away from the corpses and look back toward another small crevice in the wall, looking out to see the a small orange hue coming from it. You step away from the bodies of the slain trolls and walk toward the crevice.

 

You step into the dark crevice, with only the hue from a nearby fire illuminating the path. You walk further forward, noticing three Ice Trolls chanting loudly around a fire with two large, white Yeti in poorly built, wooden cages against the stone walls. You step into the room and your foot grazes against a small pebble on the floor, grinding the stone against the hard ground and alerting the three trolls of your presence. They reach behind their backs and pull out their spears before charging toward you.

 

Commence Battle with Ice Troll x 3

 

Two of the trolls fall to the ground immediately while the third, mortally wounded, runs back to the wall. As you try to move toward him, with his last breaths, he unhinges the wooden cages to release the large, white creatures. The first Yeti walks out and grabs the troll, taking a bite from his neck before tossing his corpse to the side. Both Yetis are eyeing you as the thing standing between it and its next meal. With a loud roar, they lumber toward you to attack.

 

Commence Battle with Yeti x 2.

 

The two yetis drop to the ground with a loud thud, shaking the ground around you. On the side of the room, several pieces of ice fall off the wall to reveal a small statue with a yellow gem stone. You reach forward, grabbing the shard. Once in your hand, you feel the knowledge of the Gods coursing through your veins.

 

Acquire one of the following: Shard of Life, Shard of Reality, Shard of Stone Hands, Shard of Vision, Shard of Vamprism, Shard of the Defender

 

As you’re holding onto the shard, you hear a loud roar coming from a neighboring room. A chill is sent down your spine as the roar echoes off of the walls. Several mounds of snow fall from the ceiling and land at your feet as you stare off into the next room. You step forward slowly, looking ahead into the cave. Several large stalagmites are hanging from the ceiling and a large, frozen lake is positioned in the distance with a frozen waterfall pouring into it. Large walls form a circle around the room and above you is only the clear blue sky. Once in the room, you look to your left and see several bodies frozen in ice, all of the soldiers you were sent in after. You walk up to the bodies and place your hand on one of them, rubbing the frozen, white, condensation off of the ice above one of the soldier’s face. You look through the ice to see the soldier still blinking slowly. You stare into his eyes as the sounds of large, scuffling feet come from behind you. You turn to see a large, blue dragon, walking out from the shadows. His large wings stretch out and cast a shadow over the area. His mouth is large with sharp, white fangs. He screeches before preparing to attack.

 

Commence Battle with Ice Dragon

 

The dragon steps back and stares at you. He is weakened, but alive. Though thick blood is pouring from his wounds,  he musters the strength to fly into the air and out of the cave. With the dragon gone, the cave starts to warm slightly and the soldiers icy prisons melt away. The soldiers drop to their knees and wrap their arms around their chests, huddling up for warmth. Thankful for your intervention, the soldiers pull their weapons out and offer them to you as a reward.
