Welcome to the Character Creation Page, where you will start your adventure in By Gods and Kings.

All Players in By Gods and Kings will play as a character, someone who is poised to grow in the world of Dun-I. Characters adventure for various reasons, whether to simply collect Shards, acquire wealth and riches, or for the simple fun of exploring the world.

A characters personality is determined by you, the Player. You are free to Role Play with other Players if you choose. This is not a requirement, but simply a preference of the players in the group.  The Scenarios give you the option and the time to add in small moments of personality for your character. These will allow you to give your character some individual flair if you choose.

All characters have the base stats of 25 Hit Points, 10 Speed, and 0 Defense, Physical, and Magical Bonus. Weapons, Armor, and Shards will increase and decrease the stats accordingly. A player cannot have less than 1 maximum HP (as they will be comatose and unable to perform even the slightest of functions).

Players have the option of creating their own character or choosing from the Pregenerated characters that are provided for them.  Below, you will find a link to the section devoted to Pregenerated Characters. These Characters have no name or personality, but already possess the weapons, armor, and Shard needed to start their journey. These Characters also already have their stats calculated for you, so you can forgo any additional math. Take note, these Characters may not be ideally equipped for what you are wanting to do and may require some tweaking, but you are welcome to do that. Pregenerated Characters.

Finally, if you’re looking for ideas on ways to build your characters, you can always turn to our Class Templates page. In it, you will see various builds that have been created by previous players. While you are welcome to stray from these builds and customize your character in any way that you choose, these templates are meant to provide guidance.
