As part of our commitment to our authors, we wanted to re-deisgn the ScribbCrib website to reflect the future of the business. Our focus has always been on providing a place to allow independent talent a chance to have their stories told, and we believe that the change in our website will allow us to continue to pursue that goal. With these changes, we’ll be able to focus more on marketing our authors and bringing in new books to the ScribbCrib family. One of the first things you’ll notice is that our web store is gone. We have moved all of the eBooks over to Amazon to ensure a wider audience has access to our author’s works, and it’ll allow us to streamline publishing of new books. You can purchase any books in our library on Amazon. For customers who have made past purchases, don’t worry! We still have your information on file so if you ever run into a problem, such as a need to re-download eBooks, receipts, etc., you can contact us and we’ll be happy to assist. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and continues to do so as we move forward.

Hey Guys, I know it’s been a few weeks since I blogged on here, but just a heads up, I’m still here and alive and working very hard for you guys to get stuff up. The web store is SOOOOOO close to ready. We got the bugs worked out and we’ve got the first set of works ready to move out, we just need to put them together and it’ll be good times. Works should be released first part of this week with more works coming out every week from here on. SO, with that being said, I want to thank everyone who has been working on getting these works up. It’s been a long process but it’s almost done. VERSE is still be produced (I know, it’s been some time since we’ve discussed it, but we’re finally comfortable with how its put together). We will start getting paperwork out to the authors sometime this week (hopefully) so we can begin the process. Our social media is alive and kicking. Hi boys and girls, men and women, ladies and gentlemen, elves and hobbits. With our February release date coming up, we’ll be spending the next few weeks showcasing a few pieces that will be made available during our first press run. We’re very excited with what’s being offered! I can’t tell you how incredibly thrilled I am to see so many unique points of view. And the authors have all been fantastic to work with so far. We are very fortunate to see that so many of you are supporting this venture. We really want to bring independents to the forefront. So! As we inch closer toward our releases and the finals i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed on legal stuff, I would like to extend some thanks before I continue on with this post. Thanks to Valerie and C. Roper for their tireless work getting things ready, from covers to marketing and other things while Daniel and I put the bow on the finished product. And, thanks to all of the authors for sharing in the vision. The authors really are the backbone of this operation. We are striving to make you all successful. Our marketing gurus are tirelessly plugging away at different ideas, pushing random buttons and tossing ideas around, all in the name of pushing the works to bigger and better things.  With that being said, three more of our works are being previewed tonight. Good Evening Everyone! As the final days of 2012 come and go and we begin 2013, ScribbCrib is proud to announce several titles that will be up for view within the upcoming weeks. First off, we will be launching our newsletter which will include company information, previews and teasers for our future works, and information on what our current works our doing. It will also provide more information on the workings of our company as well as other great information on how your works is doing and how everything is coming together. Second off, hopefully with the help of the lawyers, we will begin launching our works on January 15. We’re very excited about The Spark. Currently, sitting at 12 authors, The Spark is an anthology devoted to our new authors and their smaller works. Going from genre to genre and centering on our authors talents, The Spark will allow readers to see how immensely talented our authors are and will hopefully become lifelong fans of their works. The second anthology we are releasing concurrently with The Spark is called Launch. Over the course of the past few weeks, I’ve spoken to may creative individuals about their works. Many of them have all had a wide array of questions, though they all seem to find their way back to the central topic of publishing. BY Chris Hamby 12/17/12 Normally, I don’t like to blog on here about what’s going on in our personal affairs and how the business side is working out, but for some reason, tonight, I feel as if I need to let something out there. I’ve answered A LOT of emails today asking about a lot of business ideals, contracts, disclosures, royalties, etc. I don’t mind this and am more than willing to help. What bothers me though, is that as I’m discussing these things with the authors, it seems as if other companies make the above issues more of an issue, instead of just something to worry about later. When we came together, we decided on a principle. We are here for our authors, not for ourselves. We are in business, and it is a business, to help our authors succeed in a world that is not meant for fair play. We came together wanting to change the way things were done, change the way things were viewed, change the way publishers treat their authors. One of the more common things is answering what kind of tips I have to offer authors who want to get published. Well, upon the request of the authors, as well as Daniel Hartmann, I have created a five tips page on the website in the Author section. Hopefully, this will allow some insight as to what we are looking for and what all publishers like to see.

There is no controlling this, only accepting that the idea will grow until it finally manifests itself into its final monstrosity. The Spark is the beginning of several authors careers with Scribbcrib. The Spark will be our first anthology released by Scribbles Media. It will consist of ALL new authors in their first work with us, all relatively short works geared at showing off all of our new author talents. We also have several larger works coming, all in the editing phase right now with several more in the works, all spanning different genres to bring the best in entertainment to your fingertips. We are working hard to ensure that our product meets your standards, and it all begins with The Spark.

More and more authors are seeing the light and are coming to join our cause, understanding the restraints that the big name publishers push on new authors. To be honest, we actually launched last night at midnight eastern time, but I was so exhausted from the last minute work that I went to sleep right after the site was up. We still have many things we want to add to the site such as our membership system, independent works, and many more freebies, and that is just what we have planned for the next few weeks! Since this is my first blog post, I’ll also take this time to introduce myself. I’m Daniel Hartmann one of the Co-Founders of ScribbCrib and the unofficial suit of the group. This means that I’m the guy who ends up taking care of the so-called boring number and business stuff (I actually like it) that no one else wants to look at. I’ve never been one to write down my feelings about something, but I feel that with this new chapter in what we’re trying to accomplish, this is probably the best way to go about keeping my mind on track. For those who aren’t aware, my name is Chris Hamby, one of the owners and founders of this company and website. I am an author first before I am a publisher and businessman. I believe in helping authors reach their dreams and goals through an honest method that benefits them just as much as it benefits the bottom line.
